I've been surfing the web for nearly--well, since 1995--my, how time flies! In 1996, I got interested in making graphics. This was unusual step for me, because I can't draw a straight line with a ruler, and have never really considered myself artistic (some of you may well agree with that, too! ÷)) However, at the urging and encouragement of a dear friend and then budding graphics artist, Ariel (of Ariel's Studio fame), I began experimenting with making web graphics. Thus began Dami's Demesne.

By day, I am a mild-mannered Webmaster for a large commodities exporting company located in my current city of residence, Portland, Oregon, USA. By night, I'm usually found putzing around on my home computer, online and either making graphics or putting together web pages. One of my favorite types of graphics to make is navigational interfaces. I find them fascinating.

A few personal notes about myself:

• I'm married and will celebrate my 32nd wedding anniversary in September.
  
  
• I have one 25-year-old son.
  
  
• One neurotic cat has deigned to let us share the house with her. She'll be 16 in March.
  
  
• Reading and listening to books on tape are favorite pastimes. My favorite genres are Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Mysteries. Some favorite authors are Anne McCaffrey, David Eddings, Dick Francis, Robert Asprin, Christopher Stasheff, Sue Grafton, Patricia Cornwell, Jean Auel, just to name a few.
